Spectrum Industries - United States

 

Spectrum Industries, an innovative technology-focused furniture manufacturer, continues to strengthen their U.S. Sales team with the addition of a Channel Manager position servicing audio visual integrators and IT resellers.

ABOUT THE POSITION…

The Channel Manager wins, maintains, and expands relationships with assigned channel partners. The Channel Manager promotes the entire range of Spectrum’s products and is responsible for achieving sales growth and business development across multiple verticals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate across multiple internal departments executing Spectrum Industries’ strategic plan by successfully implementing and completing actions to drive sales results to achieve and exceed goals

Develop necessary relationships within defined reseller partners to drive results to meet growth targets

Conduct training, lunch and learns and other activities to develop both product knowledge and mindshare within the partners sales, support and management teams

Develop and implement a quarterly sales plan that spells out key actions and associated dates. Review progress with VP of Sales monthly.

Demonstrate and explain products, features, capabilities, services and programs to prospective partners to generate interest and build new business relationships

Coordinate with Spectrum Sales team to best support and develop specific channel partners

Act as primary customer contact with defined reseller partners, answering question about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.

Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales and share them with others who need to know within the organization and partners

OTHER:

This position involves extensive travelling to customer / partner locations. The Channel Manager will work out of their home office (preferable in the state of Illinois).

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Sales, Marketing, or Business related field with five years or more of outside sales experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience in strategic selling and marketing within a reseller-partner model and/or education/government/corporate markets

Experience in making and delivering presentations to current and potential customers across multiple departments

Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability to drive company vehicles, or use personal vehicle for company purposes

Must be able to qualify for security clearance, as needed, to enter customer sites and work with customers; including both reseller partner locations and end user customer locations (i.e. educational institutions, corporate, and government entities)

Use of an employee provided vehicle with capacity to pull a trailer for hauling product samples to trade shows and customer locations for demonstrations on a regular basis

 

Travel Requirements

Extensive travel required to exhibits, trade shows, conferences, and customer locations. This position requires overnight travel away from home throughout the United States; average two- nights per week. Periodically required to attend training and collaboration meetings throughout the year at the corporate office in Chippewa Falls, WI.
