SUMMARY: Organizes, stores, retrieves and delivers raw materials, inventory, and supplies for ATO Assembly production access. Pick parts and materials for the production staging areas and return/store inventory, parts and components to warehouse. Accurately track the flow of materials.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Safely operates power industrial trucks, and other material handling equipment to transport and store raw materials, parts, inventory, packaging materials as needed

  • Refuels/recharges and performs general maintenance checks on material handling equipment

  • Supplies workers/machines with materials needed to perform the needed production operations

  • Performs and records inventory cycle counting

  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, lifting devices, trucks, or trailers

  • Completes required documentation for tracking inventory, materials, supplies

  • Manages the supply of inventory to match production needs/demand, monitor excess parts or materials

  • Works with maintenance personnel to maintain safe and efficient equipment
  • Keep work area organized and free of clutter and debris


Miscellaneous other duties may be assigned to staff by supervisor including duties in other departments

Cross Training: Due to the nature of manufacturing and the Spectrum Industries line of products, in order to achieve optimum efficiency and utilization of equipment, space and personnel, it is necessary at times for employees to be trained and work as a ‘fill-in’ in other production and/or support areas.

Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school education with six months to 1 year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three months on-the-job training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions both verbally and written as well as other correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to accurately comprehend and apply measuring device readings.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


COMPLEXITY: Requires the ability to understand and follow specific instructions of usually standardized work. Exercise ordinary judgment; follow regular safety and quality procedures. Methods are in place to prevent errors. Responsible for own work but may instruct others

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand/walk on a hard surface and use hands to finger, handle, move and lift products and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop or crouch in order to move products from one area to another. The employee is occasionally required climb a ladder or stepping stool in order to retrieve items. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts with limited exposure to fumes or airborne particles associated with gluing products, wood dust and corrugation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Location temperature is affected by seasonal factors.
SAFETY FACTORS: Safety sensitive work area, Safety shoes, and protective eye wear required, other safety equipment and gear may be required as needed. Production dress code applies.


The starting pay rate for this position is $12.87 per hour + $.60 shift differential
