Job Description:

Inside Sales Representative key responsibilities and duties:

 

  • Answer incoming phone calls, email inquiries, and website chat requests

  • Making outgoing calls to customers and resellers to generate interest in products
  • Generate standard product quotations, check order status, view shipping details, and review customer account status

  • Review incoming customer orders to ensure terms/ products/pricing are accurate and that customer timelines and requests can be met

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure critical order dates are accomplished

  • Prepare custom product requests and ensure details are complete

  • Collaborate with customers and technical support team to fulfill the customer requirements

  • Be a product, pricing, order and company resource for the outside field sales team

  • Support end-users by troubleshooting product problems and escalating to other departments, or product experts, as needed

  • Enter end user and reseller contacts into CRM database

  • Participate in occasional regional trade shows

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A) in related field from a two-year college or technical school

  • Three to five years of experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software including CRM and ERP applications and other office equipment

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, record management systems and terminology

  • Knowledge of general math skills and their application

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Excellent computer and technology skills including a working understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, CRM/ERP software

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism

  • Individual must communicate effectively in writing and verbally as appropriate for the needs of the audience
